Kimmage has been providing short training courses for the Irish international development sector since 2005. We headed an international consortium of training providers which formed the DTALK programme until 2012. Due to demand we decided to continue to provide the service to the sector.
Drawing on a pool of skilled and experienced facilitators we ensure our courses are relevant and up-to-date and are taught in a participant-centred, relaxed, and interactive adult learning environment. These courses are designed to build the skills and capacity of individuals working in or wishing to enter the international development sector.
Our scheduled 1 to 4-day training courses run throughout the year. The schedule includes foundation courses for individuals new to the development field as well as continuous professional development training for more experienced individuals.
Our courses offer valuable learning, support and guidance from our highly experienced trainers and practitioners and a rich cross-cultural environment for exchanging experiences with others working in the sector.
In February 2017 we are re-running the course on the Dóchas Code of Conduct on the Use of Images & Messages.
