Franziska has worked extensively on the topics of communicating complex development issues, representation practices and the structural analysis of how Irish NGOs and the Irish media set frames for public opinion on global justice issues.
Over the last couple of years she has been heavily involved in the shaping of the Dóchas Code of Conduct on Images and Messages while engaging in the Irish international development sector’s attempt of setting standards for NGOs’ communications practices and values. As member and chair of the Code of Conduct task Group, Franziska had an extensive input in producing the Dóchas Implementation Guide for the Code of Conduct.
Franziska holds a first-class Master Degree in International Communications from DCU, where she also worked a research assistant on media, interculturalism and diversity in Europe. She currently works as Outreach and Placement Officer at Dublin City Volunteer Centre.
