UNIDEV event: Gender & Land Rights in a post-2015 context

Unidev small“UNIDEV – Bridging the gap between theory and practice”, is a project that aims to raise public awareness and understanding of development issues, poverty and the MDG agenda in order to stimulate debate and action in support of fairer relations between the Global North and the Global South. Our partners are NGO Support Centre – Cyprus (lead agency) and Pontis Foundation – Slovakia. As part of our collaboration we have invited two speakers Stella Maranga Gender and Governance Advisor at UN Women, and Silas Siakor from the Sustainable Development Institute, Liberia to hold an open lecture on Gender & Land Rights in a post-2015 context. The lecture will be chaired by Kimmage DSC’s Patrick Marren (BA, MscAgricEcon) and will take place at the Irish Aid Volunteering and Information Centre at 6.30pm, 20 February.  

Stella MarangaStella Maranga, Gender and Governance Advisor at UN Women, will speak on Gender & development priorities in a post 2015 context.
Silas SiakorSilas Siakor, Sustainable Development Institute, Liberia will speak on Natural Resources and Land Rights priorities in a post 2015 context.
