A partial scholarship worth €1500 is being offered to an Irish-based development worker and/or activist who wishes to join the Kimmage DSC MA in Development Studies programme 2016/17 starting in September. This amount will be deducted off the cost of full-time Irish/EU tuition fees.
Candidates must: either:
- be recently returned (since 1st August 2015) to Ireland from working professionally or as a volunteer overseas in a development context and are not currently in full-time employment;
- be intending to return from working overseas before the commencement of the programme on 19 September 2016; or
- have been engaged as a development activist in Ireland and not have been in full-time employment for the last year.
Candidates must be available to study on a full-time basis and must meet the normal entry requirements of the MA programme. Applicants who have applied to SUSI for a higher education grant towards post-graduate fees may also apply for one of these partial scholarships. Eligible candidates from the Global South currently resident in Ireland are particularly welcome to apply.
The deadline for applications is 30th June 2016. For further details contact Deirdre Healy at email@example.com.
